Willow: Gavin has realized that the size of thee codebase has been growing and this is something that could help
Suggestion to put into git ignore, or islandora/documentation
Alexander: Git ignore may be simpler than moving them

Rosie: Who are our experts on the manual install process?
Will P: Does anyone actively do the manual install?
- Don't think DGI is doing manual installs
Rosie: Revisiting the topics - should the Manual Install option be removed?
Alexander: In theory it's good to have one - studies where they've taken projects which are distributed as containers on github and check them for things that are out of date, find a lot is. Not having done the manual install, can't speak with authority, but it is something that exists on record - what components your software depends on and what is your software

Rosie: When we had a tech lead, this checking was part of the role
Kevin Fletcher (FLVC): Currently have an islandora 7 implementation, looking to move to islandora 8
- Tried the install process and everything on the manual install was written via ubuntu
- Ended up with the Ansible path, looking at Docker
Kevin: Ansible install was done on ubuntu - "cheated" on that aspect. Created the install, exported to ova and imported to vsphere environment .
Alexander: Manual install - Hasn't been tested in a while, might revisit.

Alexander: Going to the children tab of an object and the first button, batch add children, gives you a nice edit form. But it gives an error that it can't create a directory - gets permission denied - both on ISLE and Playbook
Alexander: don't actively need this functionality right now - does anyone have an idea of what may be causing?
Willow: Public/private fedora file?
Alexander: checked for this in configuration
Rosie: Did you test if this happens if just trying to upload files to media?
- Alexander: I haven't tried to batch upload media
Alexander: Surprised not caught earlier, there should be an automated test that covers this
Adam: it was uploading to the temporary directory which gets wiped on restart
