Action Items

• The ICC will draft communications for the upcoming Open Meetings with information about a coffee talk/demo leading to training session structure, call for participation and feedback.
• Noah will take the question of a stipend for trainers to the Board.

Notes

ICC and LG met together at the beginning of the meeting to coordinate work on Open Meetings. LG and the Board are working on strategic initiatives separately. Open Meeting planning

• a few variations on a training model for Open Meetings were discussed
• for February, it was decided to continue with the model we have already set up -- a few short explanatory demos from expert users, a couple of show-and-tells related to the topic (Views, for Feb) if we can solicit them, and a coffee-talk style discussion session to answer questions in the moment and, importantly, set up topics to be clarified more fully in a subsequent training-focused Open Meeting.
• The ICC will solicit proposals for training; the LG will take to the Board the possibility of paying training presenters a stipend for an hour session.
