- Previous meeting notes
- Islandora 8 Sandbx time - post-event report
- Successful event! There was always somethign going on and we saw some new names that don't engage much on other channels.
- Next time: book breaks for the hosts. It was nice, though, to not need much prepared.
- Proposal: Make this a monthly event? We'll try one in December, expecting it to be less busy.
- New committers:
- Willow Gillingham
- Don Richards
- Bethany Seeger
- Workflow changes - documentation repo
- Finished implementing (thought we had!) the settings so that org members can directly commit into main (for bug fixes)
- announcement to be made to the listserv
-
Metadata IG (Rosie)
- Technical metadata proposals presented
- Discussion of communication channels, and how to be more involved/contribute to the code/things discussed on the tech call.
-

- Nov meeting was cancelled.
- Dec 17 - Don Richards to give an example on integrating google sheets into islandora migration tools!
- ISLE Interest Group (Danny or Bryan)

- Made some changes to documentation structure

- How to get people writing documentation? Suggestion to use the spreadsheet to assign pages to people.
- Discussion of ISLE documentation sprint - provide guidelines between README files and actual documentation.
- Thanks to M. Hanke and R. Le Faive for recent doc contributions
- ISLE sprint
- You can now separate the domain from your data, to ease transitions between development/staging and production servers with different domains. The domain setting is now in only one place! Networking aliases and permissions were also improved. (This is in the process of getting reviewed/merged)
- Fixes resolve issues that many users had been having, and provided feedback about.
- D. Lamb ready to slice a release of ISLE before the end of 2020
- Documentation of this, and presentation to non-dev folks (closing of feedback loop) to be coordinated.
- As always, the Travis setup blew up during the sprint, as well as composer 2 updates causing problems.
- Future sprints
- Dec 2020 sprint will be on Drupal 9 readiness. Fairly tedious but straightforward, easy to crowdsource.
- dates: Dec 7-18.
- TRAVIS CI payment changes
- We are in a "grey area" regarding their free/paid services. We may qualify as an OS project to use their product for free. If not, we will switch to Github Actions.
- Fedora community has implemented Github Actions for the main Fedora repo (though not the others yet). Working fine.
Nothing to see here.
- M. Anez: New member to be announced in January!
- D. Wilcox: Full release of Fedora to come early next year.
- A. Blau: ICG is planning a hack/doc.
- M. Kemezis: Looking to branch into research data management.
