This page shows the default effect models shipped with Waterfall and their parameters.

Any Workflow

These models don't really care what workflow you are working in.

fx-billboard-generic-1

A basic plane, meant to be used with the Waterfall/Billboard (Additive) shader.

Shader Workflow

These models deform purely on shader parameters with Effect Modifiers, so can be very quick to set up, but aren't as flexible as the Skinned Meshes

fx-cylinder

It's a cylinder.

Skinned Mesh Workflow

These models deform as you manipulate objects (bones) with Effect Modifiers. They are very powerful but take more work to set up.

fx-simple-plume-1

A basic plume, with a conical mesh, a plane mesh and 3 control bones, one at the core, one at the exit and one at the end of the plume

fx-complex-plume-1

A complex plume, with a conical mesh, a plane mesh and 4 control bones, one at the core, one at the exit, one right after the exit and one at the end of the plume

fx-simple-plume-ion-1

A simple mesh for ion engines with no bones

fx-simple-shock-1

A simple shock plume, with a conical mesh and 3 control bones, one at the top, one at the middle and one at the end of the plume
