Lab Report 10 12 2024
This lab session focused on developing a comprehensive plan for our final presentation. The primary goal was to create a seamless flow that highlights both the web and mobile interfaces, showcasing how they complement rather than duplicate each other.
In our final presentation, we will demonstrate how the web and mobile interfaces work together to create a cohesive music platform experience. The presentation will cover the user journey, starting from registration and progressing through key features, such as profile management, user interactions, post creation, music recommendations, and unique elements like a song quiz and donation system. We will conclude by demonstrating semantic search and filtering features, which help users connect, create, and discover content effectively.
- Briefly introduce the purpose of the project and the problems it solves.
- Highlight the platform’s main goal: to create a user-friendly space for discovering, sharing, and supporting music.
- Give an overview of the features that will be demonstrated during the presentation.
- Demonstrate the simple sign-up and login process on the mobile app.
- Showcase user profile information.
- On the web interface, display how users can:
- Search for and connect with others.
- Follow users and view their posts.
- Using the mobile app, create a music-related post (e.g., sharing a favorite song or album).
- Switch to the web interface to demonstrate how others can:
- Like, comment on, and share the post.
- Demonstrate personalized music recommendations based on:
- User preferences.
- Interaction history.
- Highlight how recommendations are presented differently on mobile and web interfaces.
- Showcase music trends and statistics based on location.
- Provide insights into popular songs or genres in specific areas.
- On the mobile app:
- Play a song using the in-app music player.
- Transition to the song quiz feature, where users test their knowledge of music trivia.
- Demonstrate how users can support artists through donations:
- Select an artist.
- Make a payment.
- On the web interface:
- Demonstrate semantic search using natural language queries.
- Showcase filtering options to refine search results by:
- Genre.
- Mood.
- Artist.
- On the web interface:
- Showcase artificial generation capabilities of the app.
- Summarize the key features shown during the demo.
- Emphasize how the platform enhances user experience by combining web and mobile features.
- End with a vision for future development:
- Expanding music recommendations.
- Adding new interaction options.
- Open the floor for questions from the audience about the project or its features.
