- Community Listening Sessions
- When will the sessions be?
- BOF session at iPres (UIUC in September)
- DPC session
- Next two community meetings - Australia/Asia time in August; US/Europe time in September
- May do follow up sessions if there is a need to focus on certain topics.
- We will have some question prompts and will be reviewing issues deferred to version 2 and use cases.
- When will the sessions be?
- Registered extensions process
- The goal is not to have registered single user extensions. Editors approve but wait for community members to approve.
- Editors may want to review the review merge policy
- One idea: identify a better way to share local extensions and perhaps eventually promote to a registered extension.
- This might also help with issues around warnings for local extensions. Or tools might need a PR to say these are a list of warnings to ignore.
- What about situations where there are consortiums?
- Is the current process broken, or do we need to identify a way to chase community members.
- New Editors
- will there be additional editors?
- perhaps a discussion at a listening session, especially if there is a need for people who can focus on topics the current editors don't have expertise in.
- Next community meeting: Wednesday August 9th 8pm ET / 5pm PT | Thursday August 10th 12am GMT / 10am AEST (Convert to your time zone)
- Recording
- Rosalyn to add registered extensions to the next editors meeting
