Become a sponsor to Reyk Floeter
Hi, I’m Reyk!
I’m an OpenBSD hacker since 2004 and I’m writing open source since about 99. I currently live in Zurich, Switzerland. I’m the author of OpenBSD’s relayd, httpd, iked a.k.a. OpenIKED, snmpd, large parts of vmd, some drivers like vxlan, and more. I worked on wireless drivers for Linux and OpenBSD in the past. I write mainly in C and to a growing extent also in Rust.
Writing or "hacking" open source software is a great hobby. It became a big part of my professional life. I have other hobbies, like coffee, hiking or motorcycling, but I have never considered any of them professionally (well, Barista is my plan B). Even after months of breaks, I always resume and continue working on the software.
Why would you sponsor me?
If you like my current or past work, it would be great if you could support me. The most important rewards of my sponsorship tiers are my gratitude and boosted motivation to continue. I work today as an independent software developer and security design consultant, and need to make space, both financially and emotionally, to continue working on free and open source software.
