Become a sponsor to jsDelivr
Our team at jsDelivr is committed to providing free and easy-to-use services and tools that help make the internet faster.
We’re working on two major open-source initiatives:
jsDelivr, a popular global CDN for JavaScript and ES modules, and Globalping, a global network measurement platform.
If you choose to become a GitHub Sponsor, you’ll support the development and maintenance of both projects.
About jsDelivr
jsDelivr is one of the biggest and most widely used open-source CDNs, handling over 250 billion requests and 12PB of traffic per month. As a free CDN, we heavily rely on GitHub Sponsors to maintain our infrastructure and drive feature development. Also, all of the traffic we serve is offered to us for free, thanks to our CDN sponsors.
Since jsDelivr is a free CDN we rely heavily on our sponsors to support the service. All of the traffic we serve is offered to us for free thanks to our CDN sponsors. We load-balance the traffic between them for better performance but it also allows us to avoid overloading a single CDN.
In case a CDN provider decides to stop sponsoring us we can quickly remove them from rotation and if needed replace them with other sponsors. We maintain a good relationship with the CDN industry overall.
About Globalping
Globalping is a user-friendly network measurement platform that relies on a worldwide probe network to enable anyone to run measurements with ease. GitHub Sponsors support us in maintaining the infrastructure, improving existing features, and developing new ones.
When donating to jsDelivr you will receive a bonus of Globalping credits to be used to run even more globally distributed network measurements.
How we use your contributions
GitHub Sponsors directly fund essential aspects of our operations, including infrastructure and maintenance, third-party services, and staff costs.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of our expenses:
Infrastructure, Tools, and Services:
- Multiple dedicated servers at Hetzner and OVH
- Cloud servers running supporting services like Redis, MySQL, and log parsing
- Elastic Cloud for logging, monitoring, and APM
- AWS S3 and other S3-compatible services that host our persistent file storage and log streaming
People:
- We frequently hire freelance developers and designers to help us build new features faster.
- A team of two full-time backend developers and one frontend developer
Other ways to support us
In addition to financial support, we welcome contributions such as providing services (CDN, DNS, web hosting, or anything else we might need) or donating development hours.
We're also excited about anyone who can host one or more Globalping probes – check the README of our probe repository to learn more.
Join the community!
We are deeply grateful for the continued support from our GitHub Sponsors and the community. Thanks to you, we can make the internet a faster place together!
