Would be cool if instead of generate it, the OG image is defined as the cover's post (if it has one).

I am thinking what should we do to the original post image like so:

Fallback path:
post image > post og image > site og image

Or completely ignore the "post image" when "post og image" is enabled.

This is excellent, thanks for sharing this. I have implemented a version of this for my site, but I also added the ability to set custom OG images for pages under spec and a way to manually override any dynamically-generated open graph image. It's the best of all worlds!
