Thanks for the contribution @j-bernardi! You almost got it, the build script also needs to be updated to omit next export.

I tried to use this template and received a bunch of security warnings for out of date packages. On updating next, I was told that "next export" has been deprecated in favour of next.config.js.
This change changes the build config and package versions to be up to date with current next.js versions.
I'm fairly new to next js, so do check this, but it seems to be working for the app I'm developing at the moment.
