BOM Building
First off, what is a BOM? BOM stands for Bill-of-Materials, aka a shopping list. This list includes all the parts that your board will need.
Before or while planning your board, you should have thought about what components are going to go on it. Whenever you use a part, make sure it actually exists. To find what you need, its often useful to ask older people who made the boards in previous years or to check the previous year's production BOM. It'll give you a list of the parts they used, so you'll be able to copy over that information. Make sure to check to see if that part was any good. For the most part, they were tested to see if they met our specs.
Once you have a link to the a reliable part, add it to the BOM! Where is this? For now, its in PiE Root > Robotics Competition > Sourcing > Y10 > BOMs. Make sure to keep different revisions for BOMs separate.
Fill out all the columns the best you can. If its not from DigiKey, make sure to add a hyperlink to the BOM to make sure sourcing can find the item.
