Referring to my email, here's the patch and suggested modifications to gentoo_gitorious overlay.
There is still
production.confmissing, but installation will run nevertheless.Unfortunately GIT doesn't support cloning subdirectories, hence I cannot define www-servers as submodule. Therefore the note and updated instructions must suffice.
