Why A11yGoat?

Accessibility is an easily overlooked part of web development. Accessibility isn't interesting, it's not something people seek out information on unless they have a personal connection to someone who is differently abled or your company has caught attention.

Reading through the WCAG 2.0 spec is daunting. What people need is to get their hands dirty. To see the bad and how to make the bad good. A11yGoat wants to show how not to do things and give developers the opportunity to work with code, get their hands dirty. In doing that, the hope is they'll grasp the concepts better than reading a block of text.
