This PR makes some improvements to the widgets in the user interface. In particular, the widgets autogenerated for the layer option callback properties now include an "info" icon which has the relevant property's docstring as its tooltip. This is true for both the Qt and Jupyter interfaces.
Also, the widget generation functionality has been refactored out of the dialogs, which should help keep the code simpler and more testable.
