Welcome to Flooddrake, part of a Maths Foresees Feasibility Study!

This wiki is a guide to the use of Flooddrake, containing some demonstrations and shows how to combine it with Firedrake-mlmc to conduct some multilevel Monte Carlo uncertainty quantification simulations on shallow water problems.

Flooddrake is a wetting and drying Discontinuous Galerkin Finite Element (DG-FEM) model for the Shallow Water Equations.

This package was designed as part of a Maths Foresees feasibility study, granted to Alastair Gregory and Colin Cotter from Imperial College London, aimed at applying multilevel Monte Carlo to flood forecasting.

The project report for this feasibility study can be found at http://www1.maths.leeds.ac.uk/mathsforesees/feas_report_GregoryCotter.pdf
