Android Augmented Reality Menu, an Android experiment for Google I/O 2017.
Don’t you hate it when your friend’s food looks tastier than yours? AR Menu uses augmented reality technology to showcase a restaurant's menu as realistic 3D food models before it comes to your plate- so you know exactly what you had ordered. This android experiment replaces old, out-dated paper menus to an interactive and cool way to dine.
- Download and print the image target from https://goo.gl/wcLoRs
- Download the Android application from the Google Play Store
- Place the image target on a levelled and dry place (Bonus points: access to good lighting)
- Launch the AR Menu application and complete the onboarding instructions
- Scan the image target and swipe to view different menu items
- Click order button to share your discoveries with your family and friends
- Easter Egg: Use any QR Code Scanner application to learn the process behind the implementation of this experiment and how you can create your own augmented reality application.
