This is a README to get started with CosmoLike, i.e. to run a standard LSST multi-probe likelihood analysis !!! Replace "teifler" with your username !! and set paths corresponding to your installation A) Requirements: - install fftw3 a) goto http://www.fftw.org/download.html b) download v3.3.4, unpack tar file, copy directory to zodiac into your home directory c) goto directory , configure --prefix=/home/teifler --with-pic , make, make install - install gsl 2.1 a) goto http://www.gnu.org/software/gsl/ b) download, unpack tar file, copy directory to zodiac into your home directory c) goto directory , configure --prefix=/home/teifler , make, make install - install python 2.7.8 a) goto https://www.python.org/download/ b) download v2.7.8 , unpack tar file, copy directory to zodiac into your home directory c) goto directory , configure --prefix=/home/teifler , make , make install - install emcee a) download emcee, http://dan.iel.fm/emcee/current/user/install/ , b) untar, copy directory to zodiac into your home directory , goto directory c) type: ../Python-2.7.8/python setup.py build d) type: ../Python-2.7.8/python setup.py install - install numpy a) download numpy v 1.8.1 http://sourceforge.net/projects/numpy/files/NumPy/ b) untar, copy directory to zodiac into your home directory , goto directory c) type: ../Python-2.7.8/python setup.py build d) type: ../Python-2.7.8/python setup.py install - install yaml a) download yaml http://pyyaml.org/wiki/PyYAML b) untar, copy directory to zodiac into your home directory , goto directory c) type: ../Python-2.7.8/python setup.py install If using the JPL SuperComputer: - check if gsl lib (libgsl.a, libgsl.la, libgsl.so, etc) files are in ~/lib, if not copy by hand - set permanently in cshrc or do at every login setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH /home/teifler/lib for bash: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/teifler/lib B) Create the shared library, i.e. open Terminal and paste into shell gcc -Wall -Wno-missing-braces -Wno-missing-field-initializers -I/home/teifler/include -L/home/teifler/lib -shared -o like_fourier.so -fPIC ../../theory/like_fourier.c -lfftw3 -lgsl -lgslcblas -lm C) Submit Job or run locally - JPL SC uses PBS, e.g. a command to submit on zodiac reads: qsub -S /bin/bash -V -l select=1:ncpus=12:mem=1GB -l place=free -l walltime=48:00:00 -q longq -o /home/teifler/output/ -e /home/teifler/output/ -N LSST_run1 ./runLSST_cosmolike.py > & /nobackup0/sunglass/teifler/myoutput1.log - locally you can run this by simply typing: ./runLSST_cosmolike.py D) First steps to changing parameters in runLSST_cosmolike.py: - initpriors: - initprobes: 1) "all_2pt_clusterN_clusterWL" (includes weak lensing, galaxy-galaxy lensing, galaxy clustering, cluster number counts, cluster weak lensing in the analysis) 2) "shear_shear" (weak lensing only) 3) "pos_pos" (photometric galaxy clustering only) 4) "all_2pt" (photometric clustering, galaxy-galaxy lensing, galaxy clustering) 5) "clusterN_clusterWL" (cluster number counts and cluster weak lensing)
