Dashboard

When you log in to Cloud V, the first thing you will see is a dashboard. This is where a user can access every project they are involved with on the platform: the ones that they created, the ones their collaborators have shared with and the ones they follow.

1 - Side Panel

The side panel shows the user's profile picture, username and allows them to change which repositories are currently displayed in the project pane. The default, "Repositories", shows repositories owned by the user.

Repositories

The default option. Shows repositories currently owned by the user.

Shared

Shows repositories shared with the user by other users.

Watching

Shows repositories by other users that the current user has decided to watch.

2 - Project Panel

Shows a matrix of repository cards that match the level of involvement picked in the side panel.

Project Cards

Card

A project card displays a repository's name, description, status, and has buttons to interact with the repository.

2.1 - Lock

If a lock can be seen, this indicates that the repository is private. Only people who you have shared this repository with will be able to access this repository. The repository will also not appear in searches.

2.2 - Browse

Main article: Repository Page

Allows a user to browse a repository, which is going to display its description and gives you options to interact with the project that are not on the card, including the ability to watch a project, browse the source files out of a workspace, and, if the user has write access, change the name, change whether it is private or public, add contributors, et cetera.

2.3 - Clone

Allows the creation of a direct clone of a repository. One can use this to fork your own or someone else's repository, which can be useful if someone would like to work on a project but do not have access to it.

2.4 - Download

Downloads a zip file containing the repository's files.

2.5 - Workspace

Main article: Workspace

3 - New Repository Button

Creates a new repository.

4 - Top Bar

Includes the Cloud V logo, the user menu (which gives access to settings and logging out) and a search bar.

User Menu

5 - Footer

Includes links to contacts and about for Cloud V.
