Version 6.3 official release
This is the official AASTeX Version 6.3 release. It was originally posted to https://journals.aas.org/aastex-package-for-manuscript-preparation/ on August 8, 2019, and merged into the main GitHub repository on November 5, 2019
Version 6.2 official release
This is the official AASTeX Version 6.2 release. It includes
- a new RNAAS style option for Research Note manuscripts;
- Title capitalization changes to match new journal style;
- renewal of a command for identifying internal report or preprint numbers;
- elimination the page skip between the title page and article body introduced in v6.1;
- addition of a widetext environment for text spanning two columns (equations);
- an numerous bug fixes.
Version 6.1: ORCIDs, Affiliations, modern styling and more
This is the v6.1 release of AASTeX, the markup package to assist authors in preparing manuscripts intended for submission to AAS-affiliated journals. Please note that although this is a point release, it is not backwards compatible with any prior version of AASTeX.
Major feature upgrades include:
- ORCID support
- Automatic affiliation indexing
- Additional collaboration support
- A new user supplied layout style for improved readability
- New multi-page table and rotation commands
- Changed the link colors from cyan to blue
- Improved revision tracking control
- Expanded editorial comment mark up
- url support in aasjournal.bst
and various bug fixes.
AASTeX v6.0.2: deluxetable, dataset fixes.
This release fixes issues with deluxetable in aastex6.cls, and updates the \dataset tag for DOI dataset links. Minor bugs in aasjournal.bst were also fixed.
AASTeX v6.0.1
This is the first GitHub release of AASTeX Version 6.0. It includes a small bug fix compared to the original tar/gz version released on January 6, 2016 at http://journals.aas.org/authors/aastex.html.
