Could you add 3D / solid rendering for the layers?

Sorry, this mod is intended to be a 1.8 and later skin format port to 1.7.

I know. We're using it on our Thermos 1.7.10 server and it is a must have mod!
So, 3D rendering is possible on 1.7.10, too. The mod "More Player Models" add this feature but it breaks your mod, because it cannot handle 1.8 skins.
We prefer SkinPort and would remove More Player Models if you would add 3D rendering.

Do you think you can give it a try?
That would make this mod complete.

Sorry, I don't want to do that, it might do rights for some skins, but it will hurt other skins that just want a slim layer.
If i want to separate those two, it would require additional information added to skin files. And a possible editor for that matter.
You can try to use MPM to create custom characters (with or without armors) and use CosmeticArmorReworkd (one of my other mods) to hide armors, I have seen someone's let's play doing this.

I understand your thoughts. MPM won't help me out with that. It makes your mod unusable.
Uhm... what about a fork of SkinPort but with 3D layers? "SkinPort 3D" or something similar?

We just want to use 1.8 Skins with solid layers :-(
