Unhelpful error message from zcli apps:validate

Steps to Reproduce

1. Use zcli login -i to authenticate
2. Authenticate successfully
3. Run zcli apps:validate

Seems like running zcli apps:clean first fixed it? I thought that command just cleared ./tmp but does it reset some configurations as well?

I just had the same issue, and I found that because the app is packaged before being validated, I was able to upload the packaged file to my Zendesk account. The validator on the Zendesk apps installation page gave more specific information that helped me resolve my error.
