The project has been using Git to track and manage binary files (native libraries and archives) in addition to code files. This has caused the entire Git repository to grow to a size of 1.8GB and continues to grow as native dependencies are updated. We could try migrating to Git LFS, but the potential cost is that we might need to rewrite the entire history of commits and tags
