In the main UI, there is some empty space at the top below volume slider
It would be good if we can add custom commands as buttons in that area for frequently used custom commands instead of needing to slide right to access it.
So we could add button to launch youtube or any custom commands we may want quick access to.
Will only work for iPhones which have the dimensions to support this, e.g. iPods or older iPhones have too small screens to even show the tool bar.
Need to think of what to do with the move-up/-down function. Would this just toggle the position of the additional buttons? Up = Remote up, extra buttons at bottom, Down = Remote down, extra buttons on top
Not sure if I can make this work for iPad, there's a different concept used.
Would still need a lot of work to define the way of how to set and work with the buttons.
I guess naming the buttons with their action will not be readable well enough.
Long press could show what action is triggered.
Color code the buttons like for programmable remotes (e.g. red, green, blue, yellow) or just give them numbers?
When long pressing the actions to add a custom button, add these colors/numbers as option where to deploy the action to.
