In Edit > Layer Defaults > TrackWaypoint,
perhaps add an Apply button at bottom, like some of the other menus in Viking have.

That way we wouldn't have to wait until next session. We could start enjoying our new defaults right now.

Same goes for the rest of the items in
Edit > Layer Defaults > *
