Hey. Sorry for the delayed reply, I've been busy. Do you have URLs longer than 4096 characters? If not, looking into why it's hitting those urls would be interesting. Do you have a website link to share? |

No, there are no URLs longer than 4,096

Just installed on Ubuntu server 18.04LTS 16-core i7, 32 g ram, fully updated: and ran:
php sitemap.php file=my_sitemap.xml site=https://subdom.mysite.com/
cli output seemed promising, ran for a minute or so, screen activity showed is was reading the site's directory tree, but failed with:
PHP Warning: fnmatch(): Filename exceeds the maximum allowed length of 4096 characters in /sitemap_generator/Sitemap-Generator-Crawler-master/sitemap.functions.php on line 253
