Implement separate LED controls when switching between modes

Is it possible to have separate LED control when switched to one of the other modes? For example, in my setup, Mode 1 Toggle Switches control and display status of gear, flaps and AP. Mode 3 the Toggles control various aircraft lights but LEDs are still showing the status of mode 1. Maybe a different config file for each mode..(if that would even work..)? If each mode had a different config file, would it be possible to have different controls assigned to the MFD wheels?
