This is related to #4039 but the answer to that Issue didn't address the core issue:
How can we open a file without having Typora try to scan the directory first?
I have a HUGE "Downloads" directory and when I want to open a .md file there with Typora, it takes forever to start up -- I get the spinning beach ball of death for like two minutes!
All I want is just to open that one file. I've searched in Preferences and can't find it: How do we disable the directory scan?
( My only workaround is to move the file to a temp directory and open it there, but I shouldn't have to do that extra work. )
