Pico ADC pins causing crash

Hello I am trying to utilize all Pico GPIO for encoders using earlephilhower pico core

Everything goes very well with every pin up until pins 26, 27, 28 which happen to be ADC pins. When defining two of those pins to this simple sketch, the board crashes

Any hints??
