We received a report from Aparna Sharma at the Science Library that they interacted with a user confused by the Checkouts screen in My Account.
The user insisted they had returned a recalled item, and used the My Account checkouts screen to "prove" they had zero checkouts. Here's the screenshot provided by the user:
The user would have needed to click on "Checkouts" to see the screen. But they seem to be reacting only to the
I'm also noticing in the screenshot that the "Checkouts" menu isn't getting the contrasting background color - calling out that it's the "active" menu. Here's what My Library Account looks like to me, using Mac Chrome. (The screenshot is from mylibrary-folio-dev, but prod looks the same for me):
Perhaps we've got something going in browsers that's reducing/removing the contrasting background?
Also, I don't have a good suggestion for what to do with the "Checkouts:0" header. But that is clearly what this user is zeroed in on. Darcy looked at it briefly and had some thoughts about how the layout could be altered to make this clearer.
