Hi there!

This is not an issue, just a heads-up that a project of mine, WrathNet, is a nearly identical attempt at bringing World of Warcraft to the browser! I'm quite excited there are others willing to give this a shot.

Even though I'm still in the process of porting over the original Flash/ActionScript 3 project from a few years back, I'll be keeping a close eye on your project as you have implementations for various packets that I did not yet have back then, nor now.

Is it correct that wow.js is geared towards TBC right now?

Hey Tim,

sorry, I had my head way down in the sand and did not notice your comment. I had seen WrathNet last week. I thought of contacting you about that once I return to the project :)

At the current state of the project, I chose to go for TBC. Firstly, TBC is easier encryption-wise, compared to WoTLK. Secondly, at the time when I started the project TBC was the primary MaNGOS project. Well, to be honest it was a bit of an arbitrary choice, but anyway - right now it is TBC.

Regarding your PM: I would love to talk about collaboration or even merger - this is not a project anyone can handle alone. Is there somewhere we can talk? :D

Ah, I see, I have never really dabbled much with TBC and had sort of assumed it was similar if not identical to WotLK apart from certain newly introduced features.

Not entirely sure what would be easiest communication-wise, would IRC suffice? I tend to be on irc.freenode.org throughout the day, with the same nick. If you have any other suggestions, I'm all ears.

Looking forward to this! 👍
