This is a game that I would like to pick up for speedrunning due to potential skips and strategies. While I usually do game speedruns themselves on a Nokia phone, KEmulator nnmod comes in very handy for checking things, routing, learning, etc. Unfortunately with this game there are bugs on the emu that make this inconvenient. I'm going to attach a save file for easier testing.
The game can lock-up on KEmnn seemingly at random during certain textboxes, seemingly not all of them, but a selection, I've specifically noticed this on conversations with the person who upgrades your gun, and the pause menu that asks if you want to save and continue playing. Pressing keys as quickly as you can seems to make this more likely to happen - I was thinking that it could be related to the input issues that were a thing in the past (since holding a key in textboxes blocks any other inputs), but I have not noticed any actual input issues in recent versions, so it's unlikely to be because of that.
The game can also lock-up on KEmnn when you die and the game vibrates. On S60v3 the game can freeze for a short while in an unnatural way in this circumstance, but never indefinitely as far as I've noticed.
Steps to reproduce from the save file: start the game, load the save from the main menu (Commencer). In order to see it lock up on a textbox, alternate pressing LSK and 5 (or * and 5) as quickly as possible in order to save and continue repeatedly until the game freezes. In order to see it lock up on a death, bump into the bottom enemy when it's attacking you so that it instantly kills you, on the 3rd or 4th try the game will likely freeze during the death.
