Facets reset catalog search

Selecting a hyperlinked metadata field from the catalog search does not return search results by that facet. Instead, it resets the catalog search and returns all results in the repo.
NO - Does not work when selecting facets in the catalog search (listed under a work, for example)
YES- Works correctly when selecting a facet in the drop downs on the left.

NOTE! This behavior is present in the SDAPI tenant but does not appear to be affecting the ADL tenant.
