Checked dmp seems to be an issue with NTDLL.DLL, maybe this software can't run on sandboxie I was hoping to add it make the slides for an organization and remove it without anything left behind this seemed a clean way to go.
How often did you encounter it so far?
Every time I tried
Expected behavior
Program to start up. I have run other presentation software like this like proclaim, PowerPoint of course. Not sure what it is trying to latch on to that crashes. Tested on 2 machines with sandboxie one with Win10 and one with win 11.
When I tried with these settings on the virtual machine, the application didn't crash on startup, but the interface didn't load and it got stuck using high CPU. When I tried outside the sandbox, it said a GPU was required, so maybe that's why it got stuck.
I just tried V18 (on the Win 11 latest sandboxie) as they are looking to maybe upgrade now and found that installed but has a WMI IWbemServices 21 (services not implemented) so that also crashes.
I then added those settings you mentioned:
NoSecurityIsolation=y
Template=OpenCOM
It now launces with a warning about 5 minutes or needs a certificate. I assume some donation or purchase (I need to read more).
I am not concerned how much system cross over there is I am just trying to keep the install files/registry/appdata etc bundled for very easy removal so I can keep my own PC clean but still help edit slides in this software.
Wil this work on Win10 or is there a similar setting/value it would be great to swap back to my older desktop but still keep it boxed.
To be complete I have now added another SB and gone back to test 7.5 and the same isolation allows it to run. Now I have to decide do I cert up for this 1 app. DO you know what part of it (not that I can change it) is requiring the isolation skip seems an odd requirement for a presentation software, maybe as it has options to purchase items inside it. I am running it trial then unregistered as a volunteer you are allowed to work with watermarked content and then send back to the main install for actual use.
