This may well be an upstream issue: and is suspected to have little consequence: i.e. we have no initial snapshot; but this has yet to be confirmed.

Affected installers

  • All Tumbleweed profiles

We see the following on our initial install boot:

[FAILED] Failed to start SUSE JeOS First Boot Wizard - create system snapshot.
See 'systemctl status jeos-firstboot-snapshot.service' for details.

Subsequent boots are not affected and all core functionality bar this first snapshot look to be unaffected.

Issue created for reference purposes - with the intention of identifying this 'up-front' as a know issue within our TW installers.
We should consider linking to this issue from our pending installer downloads page update PR:

"Update downloads re EOL 15.3 - 15.4 - and add 15.5 - 15.6 ...": rockstor/rockstor-website#95

Confirmed as evident in the result of installers using the following profiles:

  • Tumbleweed.x86_64
  • Tumbleweed.ARM64EFI
  • Tumbleweed.RaspberryPi4

Tested as of this comments date. Again from the original issue text: "suspected to have little consequence".
