Debian makes a good choice for an initial WAN and LAN device OS but it'd be good if we supported other WAN and LAN device OS'. Someone solving this problem will need to analyze how DebianBox uses Debian only functionality. This should lead to a decision about how to generalize the code to other OS distros.
