Sort order for Activity uploads list unclear

There are two ways to view a list of files uploaded for an organization:

• by selecting an organization from the Providers screen, like this:
  https://pod.stanford.edu/organizations/princeton
• by selecting an organization from the Activity screen, like this:
  https://pod.stanford.edu/organizations/princeton/uploads

It's not clear to me how the latter display is sorted. I'm attaching two images of Princeton's activity page as of this morning. Princeton has been uploading files daily, with the most recent files uploaded today (7/5/22). But page 1 of the activity list starts with a set of files from April and May 2022, followed by some from March 2021. The 2021 files continue until page 3 of the list, which starts with some more files from 2022 before jumping back to March 2021.

Each page of the list seems to be in reverse chronological order, but what is controlling the overall order of the list?

This problem only occurs on lists accessed from the Activity screen. If you go via the Providers screen, the uploaded files display in a straight reverse-chronological order.

I suspect the current sort order for the second case (lists accessed from the Activity screen) is unintentional, but perhaps @corylown knows something I don't. I would advocate for sorting by Date, latest date first, both for consistency and to offer users the sort order arguably most helpful for quickly understanding the organization's upload history and finding a known upload.
