Guidelines for providers of software (applications and components) {#guidelines-for-providers-of-s-w-resources}
We welcome
- end-user **applications **that can be used as-is to perform TDM operations on content resources, as well as
- components, i.e. pieces of software that perform basic tasks and which TDM developers, using the OpenMinTeD Workflow Editor, can combine together and tune with ancillary knowledge resources in order to build new applications that will be offered to end users.
This is in line with the OpenMinTeD vision of helping technology agnostic researchers to easily find and run TDM applications. To this end, TDM developers are invited to share their software in any of the above forms and more expert users to develop new applications with the offered resources.
If you wish to share TDM software through the OpenMinTeD platform, you must
-
ensure that your software adheres to at least the minimal level of the OpenMinTeD interoperability specifications,
-
provide access to an **executable **of the software in one of the ways specified in the next sections, and
-
add the software in the OpenMinTeD registry with a **metadata record **compliant with the OMTD-SHARE schema, at least at the minimal level.
