The file encodings seem a little odd here.

index.html -- UTF-16, little endian.
switcher.js -- UTF-8 with BOM (which is Windows-specific)
style.css -- proper UTF-8 but with Windows linebreaks (CRLF)

Is it worth a pull request to standardize all of these as UTF-8 and Unix (LF)?
