Default domains for newly added vocabularies

e need to assign a domain to vocabularies that are added to Jigsaw for queries. The current list of domains available are:

• condition
• procedure
• drug
• observation
• other

We are currently going to use the domain assignments for vocabularies supported by OHDSI. But for vocabularies not supported by OHDSI (i.e. JMDC procedure codes, OSCER drug names, etc), we need to assign a domain.

The current procedure is to assign codes by the entire vocabulary. If we need to assign codes by code (instead of vocabulary), we need to reassess our procedure at that point.

Assigning domains will do the following:

• determine what color the operator and stream will be in the JAM
• to help with backwards compatibility with OMOP v4 and v5.
