While checking SurrealDB documentation I realised there was no mentioning of supported OS versions.
However, for the release version for Apple Intel it seems the application was only compiled with the latest MacOSX.sdk ?
This is the prompt I got from the precompiled version.
I was able to compile from source and got it working, by adding an environmental variable
macosx_development_version
.According to the tier 1 platform support doc in rustc the amd64 OS X compilation target supports 10.12 Sierra and above, but the
rocksdb
dependency in current release (v2.0.3) only supports 10.13+Just wondering if SurrealDB team intend to work on backward compatiability ? or perhaps add a minimum requirement specification in the documentation ?
(Not an expert but I can push the changes to CI and docs.surrealdb.com if that's something the team intends to maintain in the future)
