Thanks for the suggestions @CheeseTastisch 🙌 We have been working on various benchmarks similar to those you suggested, the plan is to release them publically with our 2.0 stable release. |

I know many people who want to switch to SurrealDB but are currently not sure, because of missing benchmarks.
I for myself am not sure to switch, as I'm not sure if SurrealDB can deliver the same performance as other databases such as PostgreSQL with big data sets.
Therfore I would like to have some benchmarks.
I know it's hard to have just a simple benchmark with SurrealDB as it's such a complex system, but i have an idea, that i want do propose:
Add a section to the features page of the webside, where a user can select three things:
If the user select a feature and none or one of the others, a graph is shown, comparing that feature with the diffrent backends and/or ways of querying. If the user selects all three, a graph is shown, that compares that feature with diffrent other databases, that have the same feature.
For example selecting
could show a graph comparing a select of accross multiple tables in SurrealDB, and a select with a join in MySQL and PostgreSQL.
If such a section or page is implemented, it would greatly improve the amount users who realy switch to SurrealDB, as they know, how SurrealDB compares to other databases, they may currently use.
