What makes SurrealDB very appealing to me is the combination of features (https://surrealdb.com/features) that this DB provides. I like that the idea has been in development for the past 8 years so there has been time to mature and experiment with different approaches to approach good balance. Now whether these features pan out as advertised, we will just have to wait as more people try it out and experiment with it. |

Hi SurrealDB, I'm also confused with 'app.surrealdb.com' redirect from localhost:8000 both in docker and on-host installation. Should there be any UI? If it is not implemented yet as it seems to be planned on 1.1x release, then what tool you can recommend atm for manual queries except curl rest? |

Hi SurrealDB,
I'm a bit confused on what the value gain is from using your project.
It seems like you are just a sort of minimal ORM abstracted in an API from what I can see. There's no sql or graph browser, just api endpoints that I would have to build my own api on top of to really get any value. At that point why am I not going straight to an ArangoDB or RocksDB server?
I've installed the docker server and I'm not seeing a benefit currently to using this. Any guidance for what this tool is actually supposed to be used for would help.
P.S. Right after installing the docker image, going to http://myserver:8000 in a browser redirects to https://app.surrealdb.com/ with an access denied error. Not sure if that's a bug.
