Hey I put together this app for sharing private notes as I had become unhappy with my usual tool (PrivNote).

Ive made this free, ad-free and open source.

I believe it stands out from the other tools out there because it doesn't carry ads, it's open source and it's pretty drilled down on clean and minimalist design.

I have no intentions to monetise I just wanted to make something people would like to use.

Encryption-wise I employ AES-256-CBC with "Encrypt then MAC".

This should be transferred to a discussion, but the website connects to Google Fonts and should therefore not be listed imo.

To me your project looks fine, I am not sure how useful it is for the audience of the website but's not my call tho.

@Gigamick, I think it can be listed as an alternative to Pastebin. And I like the service. But I think that having the ability to create an instance of own like Matrix.org servers or Invidious would be great.

I have a question does the encryption takes place totally on the browser using local resources ?

Does the contents of the note before or after writing before typing a password is sent to server and logged for things such as Data hoarding and adverstising, etc ?

Question 1: The encryption takes place on the back end.

Question 2: Absolutely not. Nothing happens to anything at all it just goes and gets encrypted. Absolutely nothing, zero nada by way of data harvesting or advertising or absolutely anything like that.

Been using burnernote a couple of times. Emails do not always arrive and currently the service has been down for a couple of days.
We shouldn't be listing a unreliable service imo.

An alternative could be kpaste as recommended by someone else in a different discussion.
