Consider adding Misskey in the social networks section #240
-
Misskey is an open source, decentralized and federated micro blogging platform, just like Mastodon, Pleroma, etc. with the goal of being as feature rich as possible. It supports ActivityPub so it federates with the above mentioned services as well, meaning users wanting to use it or host an instance don't have to worry about losing access to Mastodon, Pleroma, etc. And because instances are self-hosted it's also just as private as all those other services (i.e they're as private as your instance admin's privacy policy states) Development is entirely funded by donations as far as I know. We ended up removing the social media section because these solutions are public broadcast. Further arguments were provided in https://github.com/privacyguides/privacyguides.org/discussions/949 |
