Piped improvements

piped.kavin.rocks uses cloudflare cdn which can be a concern for some many users because of privacy policy of cloudfare. Please add some notice of changing piped instance to the one without cdn or with no cloudflare cdn.

The main button now links to the repository and there is a button linking to the list of public instances.

Oh true, yeah. Good catch. That's dumb that the only non-api instance list is in preferences.

In Preferences too, It's the API links actually in the Instances wiki list.

I just linked to the preferences page. It's not a huge deal, just slightly annoying I guess. I opened TeamPiped/Piped#1091 so we can more directly link to the list. The current id I'm linking to (#ddlInstanceSelection) doesn't seem to work consistently.

I get it, When you click the Instance Icon in PG it will rather get me to Instance Selection setting directly instead of loading and scrolling all the way - Right ?

In LR, All Cloudflare Instance are disabled by default. The OP wants the page to warn that Official uses CF as CDN use one in preferences without CF.

Usability of Piped instances without CDN is bs. If anyone wants non-cloudflared page for piped. Visit: https://piped-material.xn--17b.net/

Edit: Find your own non-cloudflare instance instead

It is just a frontend but you still access the actual Piped servers via API with random selection which might be using CDN or might not.

Oh god kill me! Okay I found a good instance which is non-cloudflared, but have a cloudflare tracker which can be blocked by a blocker. I hope this instance will be usable, it works fine so far: https://piped.shimul.me

Well, The one you are using is Cloudflare. You can even see them in Piped repo's issues where the maintainer itself stated that.

To use one without CDN, Look for these :

When you click the API links it will direct you to the frontend. Use the One tagged as no for Non-CF Instance.

First of all, these become un-usable from time to time. And they need to connect to idk what kind of domains.
Second, they are out of date many times.
Third, connect to piped.shimul.me and see, they use Let's Encrypt rather than Cloudflare. The cloudflare insights can be blocked too.
