Hi all! I'm Doug Miller (he/him). I'm a cofounder of the cleantech startup Zero Labs (and also the director of market development at nonprofit Energy Peace Partners). Zero Labs offers digital renewable energy as a service to help companies of all types embed renewables into their operations and value chains and prove it. Zero Labs' aim is to enable programmable decarbonization wherein clean energy procurement (and resulting grid decarbonization investments) become automated.
I've spent my career building opensource business model and technology tools that reduce behavioral barriers to climate-aligned decision-making and investments (i.e., how do we making climate action the path of least resistance for companies and people alike). I am working to scale market demand and investment in renewables everywhere. My startup Zero Labs can help decarbonize the electricity use associated with any company's facilities, suppliers, and downstream use (including customers' software use!) with renewables and then deliver digitized evidence for harmonized, integrated communications and accounting/reporting.
I would love to connect with folks in this community that are interested in decarbonizing their software's electricity use to help increase demand and investments in the global energy transition. Please contact me via email or LinkedIn if you want to start a discussion about this.
Please also feel free to message me if you're ever in DC, where I'm based!
