i wonder if it would be possible for the openplanet.dev api to provide a precalculated checksum of the download, which the plugin manager could validate once downloaded? There's the code signing stuff to prevent tampering, but in this case it didn't really help due to the plugin itself being borked.
anyway it'd be pretty fukken poggers if the plugin manager could be like oopsie woopsie that download didnt work, and prompt the user to retry the download or something, idk.
