i/f messages - bug or ??

I have selected a subset, pressed "build corpus" and seen the metadata record. I have made no changes or additions, press "Register" and I get the message
"There are invalid or missing fields in the metadata you have submitted. You can see the ones invalid or missing marked as red."
I didn't see anything marked as red and thought there was a bug, but then I spotted a missing element which was not marked.

I suppose the message should either be "marked with a red asterisk" (but the red asterisk is used for all the obligatory elements, irrespective of whether they are filled in) or the invalid/missing fields should indeed be marked with red fonts or a red frame.
