Project Name

Analyzing the Relationship Between Ocean Temperature Anomalies and Coral Bleaching Events

Description

We explore the impact of ocean temperature anomalies on coral bleaching events. Leveraging a comprehensive dataset of global coral reef observations, this project examines environmental and geographical factors contributing to coral stress and develops predictive models to assess bleaching severity.

That's a really impactful project and area, my support and cheers to the team!
I'm not sure if you guys are already working on this problem with affilated organization, but if not - i'd suggest you continue working on this topic and reaching out to startups (like WIldflow) or institutions like SCRIPPS, please let me know if you need a help with intro or anything else.
Regarding hyperparameter tuning - i think you can try to explore non-discrete methods for optimization (like Bayessian Optimization), it may improve the quality of a model even further, buy Random Search is absolutely enough for hackathon.
Please keep pushing this project!
All the best!

Thank you for your feedback! This idea came through brainstorming because I am a scuba diver. I might need help with understanding how product building works and which startups to target!
