What is the meaning "seed" value in module STITCH?

In the STITCH tool, there is no seed parameter, but in the nf-core module of STITCH, there is a seed value. Can you help me understand the meaning of this seed, and does setting the same seed value ensure the reproducibility of the results? Thank you so much.
